And here we are. Another year has come and gone.
These dear sweet friends asked me to once again capture the sweet and tender spirit of their family, their connection, their joy, their gratitude for one another, the natural world and the wonder of it all. Of course, I agreed. It was around this time just last year that late in the summer these two little gals seemed so much smaller, and yet have in the last twelve months grown so big! How beautiful, how bittersweet.
Still, somehow as I quietly observed them and gently photographed them, I could still sense their smallness.

When you take a flower in your hand and really look at it, it’s your world for the moment. I want to give that world to someone else. Most people in the city rush around so, they have no time to look at a flower. I want them to see it whether they want to or not.
